Your Adult Dog

When your dog reaches his or her first birthday, we are recommend annual physical examinations and vaccinations. The annual vaccinations include Distemper, Parainfluenza, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Lepto and Bordetella. After the 1 year booster of Rabies, in Idaho this vaccination is good for 3 years.

Regular fecal examinations can determine if your dog has internal parasites and is in need of deworming. We often see some dogs that are “mousers”, or let the cat bring the rodents to them, acquire tape worms. These dogs may scoot on their rump or you may see what looks like pieces of rice on the hair of their hind end. These are tapeworm segments and deworming is needed.

We have used Driggs vet clinic for nearly 20 years now, and trust Don. He has always taken extremely good care of our animals and has been so sympathetic through the loss of three family pets. A down to earth approach to animal care that is kind and gentle.
