The Driggs Veterinary Clinic is extremely committed to Teton Valley and in particular, its youth.  From discussing various health and nutrition topics with the local 4-H groups, providing health certificates for the 4-H kids to go to the County and State fairs in both Idaho and Wyoming, or offering to hold clinics for basketball, Dr. Betts has given freely of his time to many of the valley’s youth organizations.

The Driggs Veterinary Clinic has been a strong supporter of the Teton County Fair Livestock Auction and has been flooring the base price for the lamb sale for years, customarily purchasing the Grand Champion Lamb.  We are a scholarship sponsor for the District 7 high school rodeo, and annually sponsored the Mutton Busting trophy at the 4th of July Rodeo.

Dr. Betts and his staff have provided many tours of the clinic for both the local Boy and Girl Scout Troops, church groups and a number of preschool and elementary school classes.  Many of the kids that have toured have come back to do volunteer work and gain more experience in veterinary medicine, some of which have gone on to veterinary school or veterinary technician school.

Dr. Betts served on the board of Teton Valley Hospital for 13 years, 10 of which were as chairman, he was one of the original board members of the Teton Valley Land Trust, was the head coach of the Teton High School Lady Redskins basketball team for 8 years and is currently an active board member for Fall River Propane.

Dr. Griffel and her Bloodhounds “Milly” and “Jenny” keep their search, rescue and tracking skills honed by participating in various events and Search and Rescue mission with Jackson Hole Independent Search Dogs and True North Search Dogs.
